Tauil & Chequer Advogados advised BTG, Santander and Daycoval on the issuance of R$ 700 million in debentures by Brasil TecPar

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown acted as legal counsel to BTG Pactual, Santander, and Daycoval, in their capacity as coordinators of the public offering of debentures issued by Brasil Tecnologia e Participações S.A. (Brasil TecPar), in the amount of BRL 700 million.

The funds obtained from the issuance will be allocated to the expansion and modernization of telecommunications infrastructure, encompassing transport, access, and local networks, data centers, submarine cables, and network virtualization. With planned operations in 10 states and the Federal District, the project aims to bring fiber optics to 5 million households, benefiting approximately 17 million people.

The offering was structured in accordance with current legislation for priority infrastructure projects, with the funds being exclusively used for the implementation and reimbursement of expenses related to the project, recognized as a priority by the Ministry of Communications.

The transaction was led by partner Luis Otero Montes and involved associates Júlia Zarth and Marcella Castellano, all from the Banking and Finance practice.
