Tauil & Chequer Advogados and Mayer Brown LLP advised Creation Investments in Agrolend's Series C round, raising $50 Million

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown LLP in Brazil, and Mayer Brown LLP in New York, USA, advised Creation Investments in the Series C round of investments in AGL Holding, known as Agrolend, a Cayman Islands exempted company. Creation co-led the equity investment in AGL Holding amounting to $50 million.
The amounts will be used to capitalize Agrolend Sociedade de Crédito, Financiamento e Investimento S.A., Agrolend's regulated subsidiary in Brazil, with the aim of supporting general working capital purposes, including the origination of a new credit portfolio and advancing technology development and product enhancement. Agrolend is a fintech that provides credit to the agribusiness supply chain.
The team was led by partners Priscilla Santos, from the Banking and Finance practice at Tauil & Chequer Advogados, and David Freed, from the Capital Markets practice at Mayer Brown. The operation included the participation of associates Ingrid Pistili and Beatriz Lavigne, both from the Banking and Finance practice.
