Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Mahle GmbH on the BRL 668 million sale of two subsidiaries in Brazil

Tauil & Chequer in association with Mayer Brown advised Mahle Industriebeteiligungen GmbH, controlling shareholder of Mahle Indústria e Comércio Ltda., on the sale of two fully owned subsidiaries, Mahle Compressores do Brasil Ltda. and Mahle Aftermarket Thermal, to its subsidiary Mahle Metal Leve S.A., a publicly traded company in Brazil.
The operation contributed to the expansion of the buyer’s portfolio, significantly increasing Mahle Metal Leve S.A. presence in the compressor and thermal management business segments in Brazil. The company is already one of the largest auto parts companies in Brazil, with operating units in Brazil, Argentina and Panama, whose net revenue in 2023 reached USD 869 million.
The team was led by partner Christian Roschmann and had the contribution from associate Stefano Giannini Braga, bott from the Corporate and M&A practice.
