In this issue, partner Débora Yanasse and associates Luisa Tortolano Barreto, Guilherme Galiazzi and Raphael Furtado delve into the topic of the Low Carbon Hydrogen Legal Framework Bill. The publication presents the key provisions of the recently passed Bill of Law No. 2,308/2023, which reinforces the national commitment with its own decarbonization targets and shows that Brazil is also positioned as a potential global exporter of low-carbon hydrogen and its derivatives due to its predominant and competitive renewable energy generation matrix. The President is expected to sanction the Bill so it will become law in the following days.
